I recently watched this movie on Lifetime. I put Andrew on my actor wishlist on Direct Tv Tivo and anything he acts in records for me. It is very neat technology! It was a 2002 release and Andy play a social worker for a girl who was secretly using drugs. He doesn't get alot of air time and it is reminicent of an ABC Afterschool special. He plays this role very well. I love the scene when he catches Zoey on the phone and tells her to hang up...she breaks down and he comforts her. Anyway, if anyone else has seen this one or knows of other non-leading roles he played chat about it! If you haven't seen this film and you get the chance it's worthwhile, he takes my breath away.
I love it when I see that same twinkle in his eyes that was a constant in his youth. It makes me so hot!
The other thing I forgot to mention was the music video created on Youtube about Andrew to the song Missing You by John Waite. I am sure we have all seen but if not check it out...and be sure to read the comments. They are very cute and interesting.
Do you think Andrew ever reads these posts or posts on other sites?
Ty it's funny you brought up Secret Life of Zoey. My sister who has been ill and can't do much but sit and watch TV said she saw the film the other day. She was so impressed and really loved it. This is deffinately not her type of movie either. She really liked Andrew's part. Of course I have already seen the film and really liked it. You are so right he doesn't get enough time in that film. Don't knwo if Andrew reads the board but it sure is wishful thinking. I guess we better all play nice. ha
Ty - I have a DVR which is similar to your Tivo and records. I have had that film on mine for some time and it is one of my favorites. It was not a great major role but he made it fit him so well. Of course he is really a fine actor and can make any role he plays seem to be just for him. I have several favorite scenes, one of which he is walkingZoe'smom toward us down the hall and we get a chance to see that famous McCarthy stride. I always enjoy seeing that in any of his movies.
HA, ha! It's so funny you said that about his stride. I must have rewinded that 6 times to watch him walk. Damn is he so fine! My husband resembles Andrew quite a bit, he has very similar mannerisms and even the walk. I mostly love the way Andy purses his lips and when his eyes speak. I am currently watching 2B Perfectly Honest and New Waterford Girl from Netflix.
I saw The Secret Life of Zoey also and you are absolutely right Ty and Peggy, his stride is something to watch. I did not like the fact that his part was small, but anything he plays in he is absolutely great in. I don't like it when he plays a bad guy, but I still enjoy looking at him regardless. In Mullholland Falls he had a small part where he played the part of a creep and I was not crazy about that, however, I still enjoyed seeing him in the movie. Of course my favorite is Straight From the Heart, that's the movie that I fell for him. It has been non- stop since then. I can't get enough of him - he's just so gorgeous. That smile of his just makes you melt.
Joanne, Glad you are finally getting to see this film. Please tell us what you think of it. By the way did you ever get to see all of E Ring and what did you think of it?
I watched it again last night. So many scenes to notice. Also his eyes look real large in that one. Didn't require any real emoting but just interesting. I still think some of his best real acting is in Escape Clause. That role required the gamit and he handled it all so well., including those two red h ot love scenes with his wife. So far I can't find it on DVD.
