I had no idea such a wonderful website existed, and as if that weren't enough, there's a messageboard!
I usually post occasionally on Andrew-related IMDB boards, but this wonderful place was brought to my attention by fellow IMDB poster "tyais" (thanks!)
Anyway, been a loyal AM fan since about 1985. Glad to see such an enthusiastic bunch of people here!
Hi Shell! I'm so glad you came to check it out. It's a nice supportive community we have here. We have alpt in common. We are just two years apart (I'm 32)and your crush for Andrew came from Pretty In Pink. I live in the smallest state..Providence, RI. What other movies have you seen that you love or not so much with AM?
A few months a go I saw the movie Pretty in Pink. Andrew playes such a great role. I was so impressed you know. There should be more actors like him. Here in Belgium you don't have many. He's a great actor and I'am verry impressed by his style. I'll certainly keep in touch.
Yeah, "Pretty In Pink" is hands-down, my all-time favorite AM film! It's the one that "hooked" me. I've tried to keep abreast of his career over the years, and things got much better when I discovered (ominous thunderclap)THE INTERNET! Imagine...other Andrew fans to converse with...right at your fingertips! I had no idea so many Andrew fans were out there! It's great!
I'm ashamed to say that I never knew Mary's website existed (you're the gal behind this magnificent place, right, Mary?) and mainly got my info from Andrew's "official" site (sadly outdated, Andrew...tsk tsk). And then, of course, I found IMDb. While not the most reliable place, fact-wise, I love that I've been able to chat with other AM lovers as well as fans of some of his films (I'm sure you've seen my posts on IMDb...I get quite unruly when one attacks dear Andy, lol!)
You've probably gleaned much info on me from my IMDb posts, so I shant bore you with rehashes...but, GREAT to be here, amongst my own kind
Hey Ty - I forgot to answer your question - I'm sorry!
I'm fairly fond of all of Andrew's films, but I must admit that I haven't seen much of the more recent ones
"Pretty In Pink" caused me to go back and rent the films prior to it (LOVED "St. Elmo's Fire"..how lucky was Ally Sheedy?!?) and I've tried to catch all of the films since then, but it's slow-going. I do the "Netflix" thing too and my queue is all Andrew-related (well, 80% of the queue, anyway).
There are a few films I've just got to own, so I've joined a DVD club, begun scouring the bins at Walmart, and snooping around on eBay. My DVD collection is a shambles, I'm trying to reorganize it!
BTW...veeeery nice work you've done here, Mary. THANK YOU.
