I was an Aer Lingus flight from JFK to Dublin on Sunday night and saw Andrew and his son in business class seats. I lost sight of him when the plane unboarded.
That is so cool. I wonder where he is travelling in Ireland this time. Speaking of Andrew and Ireland I just came accross a copy of National Geographic Traveller Nov 06 issue with Andrew's travel article. It was a really great read.
Thanks for your sighting. I was hoping when you said Ireland that Adnrew would be writing another article for National Geographic. I have the first two articles and love the Read. I do feel bad that I never wrote National Geographic to compliment him and ask them to have him back to do more writing. I have seen a photo of Andre'w son on a 20/20 interview and thought he was such a handsome little fellow. I bet he is all gown up now.
Speaking of Andrw in Ireland is a real coincidence. Last night I watch my DVD of Laws of Attraction with Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore. A lot of that movie takes place in the very part of Ireland Andrew wrote about in NG Traveler. Many scenes in the Castle, some of them hilarious and many scenes of the crazy goings on in the Pubs Andrew wrote about. The scenery of Ireland is fantastic and it is a very enjoyable film. I highly recmmend it. The DVD extras show scenes they did not choose and I really liked the other ending better. Such is life.
I have seen that film "Laws of Attraction". It was great and I too loved the scenery. It did remind me of Andrew writing that article for National Geographic Travler. The scenery is so beautiful there how could you not want to write about it. I often wondered since he is Irish if he only goes there on business or perhaps maybe he has relatives there?
I've always got the sense that his family came from Ireland a long time ago and thus that he doesn't have relatives there. Does anyone else know?
Speaking of Ireland and Andrew I have to share a 'doh!' moment. I was in Ireland visiting relatives in July 2004 and spent an afternoon in Galway. WHen i got back to Canada a couple of weeks later guess who I found was in Galway at that very same time? http://galwayfilmfleadh.com/04fleadh.html
Sorry folks. My short fuse is showing again. Why should we believe someone who won't even try to identify her(him) self? I think Sam is old enough for kindergarten now and all the schools are open now. Why would Andrew take him out of the country now? And wouldn't you see them at baggage pickup? Sorry Visiter-I need something factual.
Don't know if it's a true story or not, but wasn't Andrew's son born in October of 2002? He'd still be about 4 years old if my math is correct, coming up on his 5th. I don't know the exact age every child starts school, but I don't think I started Kindergarten until I was about 6.
Maybe Dad wants to spend some quality time with his boy after wrapping up those film shoots...just my on the situation
Good obsrvation Snerfy. The yearss go by so fast I thought maybe his son was a little older. But you are correct usually the right age for kindergarden is 5 or 6. I was thinking if that post were erally true then it is so nice that he has the opportunity to spend time with his son. I wish my kids were young again. I really miss that time that I don't get now.
