Following on news of both Steve Guttenberg's actor return, and Judge Reinhold's attempts to re-ignite his career by playing the boy that became Hitler, news has reached us from the farthest reaches of the wilderness that acting contemporaries Andrew 'Mannequin' McCarthy and Judd 'The Breakfast Club' Nelson are to act in the forthcoming movie version of Chips.
The TV series that starred Erik Estrada as 'Ponch' Ponchirelli, and the other chap that no-one remembers, will be turned into a film, featuring Alien Abduction, Tom Cruise/Scientology and the cast of 1980's British Sitcom 'Bread'.
McCarthy and Nelson will act together for the first since they shared lead acting duties and Ally Sheedy in 'St Elmo's Fire'.
Chips was fun to watch it it's time but, there are just some things that should be laid to rest. "Ponch McCarthy"? Um I don't think so and what next his own dance show?
Speaking of cold chills thanks Snerfy for giving me awful cold. I feel like I am on my death bed.
Sorry 'bout that, Mary Make sure you take all of your meds and get lots of rest. I'm a busy-body and found it excruciating to lie about for days, but it really does help the body mend faster.
I think I even gave it to the computer...it crashed badly about 4 days ago. Just got it back today from the repair shop. Although I didn't think it possible, they saved my hard drive (whew!!)
Re: "Chips"....I admittedly viewed the show several times back in it's heyday, but the idea of Andrew being stuck in such a cheese-filled film! {shivers at the thought} Although, I'm sure several of the ladies on this board might enjoy Andrew strutting about in a police uniform, hehe
Thanks for the advice as soon as I post on the board I am probably going back to bed. It's hard to stay in bed all day and all night it makes me feel like I have lsot three days of my life.
Sorry to hear about yoru computer. That is the biggest nuicense you can ever have. When yoru computer crashes.
Yeah I bet Adnrew would look great in a police uniform. I am holding my hands out right now waiting to be cuffed.
