Just curious to know if anyone out there has seen ALL of Andrew's movies? I imagine it would be difficult unless you've been a fan since the 80s, since many are played on cable-network stations alone. I don't have cable, and to buy all the DVDs would be expensive!! I buy them when I can though! Slowly.
I have been a fan since June...(I'm 24, so I couldn't have really known who he was in the 80s!)so far I've seen Pretty in Pink, Mannequin, St. Elmo's Fire, Fresh Horses, Weekend at Bernie's (both), Escape Clause, Mulholland Falls, New Waterford Girl, Straight from the Heart, Less Than Zero, Heaven Help Us, Class, and some of the eps of Kingdom Hospital. I've luckily been able to find 3 or 4 of these at the public library.
Anyone who has, I applaud your devotion! ;) Hope I am able to, someday!
Hi Ava and welcome to the board. I believe I havd all of Andrew's films. At least if they aer out there or were out there at one time. I like the way you say I comend you if you have all of them. Some might think that is obbsessive. Of course that is not the frist time I have been calleed obsessive. Do you mind me asking where you are from? The reason I ask is because some of our British fans and fans in certain countries have a hard time finding them. If you have only been a collector since June you have accomplished a huge amount. Good luck with that.
I am from the U.S. I can imagine it would be VERY hard to find his movies if you live elsewhere. I have found several in music/movie stores, and the others on Amazon. I found Fresh Horses, Escape Clause, New Waterford Girl, and Mulholland Falls at the public library, and probably won't buy them until later. Considering it's been a little over 3 months, perhaps I've been obsessive as well!
24, eh? If you don't mind me asking, what drew you to Mr. McCarthy? I also have all of his films, and am lucky to say that I was around during the 80s, when a lot of them were "on the big screen".
