Andrew McCarthy (l.) and Adolfo Carrion at shooting of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" on the front steps of Borough County Building.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DING! DING! Bronx BP Adolfo Carrión gets to play himself in an upcoming episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." The show was filming at the Bronx County Building last week. You can catch AC's visage standing at a front steps press conference with actor Andrew McCarthy, who plays a hotshot assistant district attorney.
Mike Murphy, AC's press secretary, told us he asked the production crew if he could play a cop. "They told me I look more like a suspect."
Setting a trap for Hillary?
Bronx Democratic Party boss Jose Rivera is still keeping Hillary Clinton waiting for the party's presidential endorsement.
Though she's tried to make nice with him, he has been keeping her dangling for not showing more props to Latinos sooner. JR told us she'll probably get the party's blessing soon.
Hillary WILL be honored Sunday, along with City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and state Secretary of State Lorraine Cortes-Vazquez, at a party-sponsored "Bronx Women on the Move" luncheon at Maestro Caterers in Van Nest.
The invite states "By women & for women only," but we can't see Hillary falling into an exclusionary trap like that. Or can we?
Jose disconnected
Note to Jose: when we called the cell phone number we had for you, the guy said it wasn't your number any more and told us: "Stop wasting my minutes!"
Standing by her party man
State Sen. Ruth Hassell-Thompson, whose district takes in Mount Vernon, told us she's a teeny-weeny bit sorry she didn't follow through on her thinking about challenging incumbent Mayor Ernie Davis.
With that slim 380-vote loss to Clinton Young in the Democratic primary there, Davis is now scrambling on Conservative and Independence party lines to save his job in the Nov. 6 election.
Though she might like Ernie personally, Ruth told us: "I have to support the party's candidate."
And she may still have to look over her shoulder at term-limited City Councilman Larry (The Fox) Seabrook.
Biaggi birthday bash
That was quite a turnout Saturday night at Mario's Restaurant on Arthur Ave. for Mario Biaggi's 90th birthday celebration.
Besides a ton of family, more than a hundred friends showed up, including Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and Congressmen Charlie Rangel and Peter King, to raise a toast to the former hero cop and Bronx congressman.
The honors aren't over for Biaggi. The New York State Shields organization will be honoring him at a Nov. 13 dinner at the Eastwood Manor.
Keeping it in San Juan
Don't look for any Latino politicians in town between Thursday, Nov. 8, and Tuesday, Nov. 13.
That's when the Assembly Puerto Rican and Hispanic Task Force throws its annual Somos El Futuro (We are the Future) confab in San Juan, "conducting serious business poolside," as one of our political Deep Throats put it.
As new chair of the Task Force, South Bronx Assemblywoman Carmen Arroyo is in charge of putting the conference together.
"They do some breakfast with a theme in the morning, and after that they're on their own," said our source, adding: "What happens in San Juan, stays in San Juan. ..."
Lehman prez is feted
Lehman College prexy Ricardo Fernandez received the President's Award of Excellence from the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities at its annual conference in Chicago.

RE: Faces & Places: Get ready for Carrion, star of 'Law & Order: Political Intent'
Hey Rach, Andrew once played a District Attourney on Law and Orders SVU. Maybe they invited him back to do one of their Criminal Intent episodes. At least by the look of the date that is what it appears to read. Maybe something more will show up for this news. Thanks for posting.
He was supposed to appear in one of the SVU episodes and there was a dissapgreement. So I am not sure how that ended if he quit or they claimed he got fired. That could be an old photo. To be honest I don't remember that picture with Andrew from the episode that he plaed District Attourney. My opinion if this is a different Law and Order series meaning Criminal Intent it could be possible that there are different people on this set. But who knows?
I love that Andrew is making a re-appearance on L&O. I think it would be so great if he would guest star on Boston Legal!! Mare Winningham (St. Elmo's Fire) was on last week and again tonight and her scenes were all with James Spader--talk about Brat Pack flashback! Did anyone watch that?? I think it would be hilarious if Andrew and James would be on an episode of Boston Legal together...:)
Nice Photo Mikako. Thanks for posting. I agree with you Ava, I would really like to see Adnrew on Boston Legal. I did see the two episodes with Mare Winningham. Boy she is eally showing her age or did they make her look older? I recently saw her on another program and she looked very aged.
