Len Cariou and Steven Seagal co-star. The bad news: the Fox Searchlight film has been sitting on the shelf for a year awaiting release.

Chris Casamassa: The son of martial-arts guru Lou Casamassa -- and a Bethlehem native -- plays a ring announcer in ''The Red Canvas'' opposite George Takei and John Savage.

Daniel Roebuck: After guest stints on ''Lost'' and ''Desperate Housewives,'' Bethlehem's Roebuck is back on the big screen in a handful of 2008 flicks, including a live-action ''Jack and the Beanstalk'' starring Chevy Chase, the thriller ''Finding Amanda'' with Matthew Broderick and Brittany Snow, and the comedy ''Flash of Genius'' starring Lauren Graham and Greg Kinnear.

Sasha Neulinger: After making a splash in ''Shallow Hal,'' the Allentown resident went a few years without a meaty film role. But in the 2008 horror flick ''Camp Hope'' he'll share the screen with Dana Dalany and Andrew McCarthy.

Dwayne ''The Rock'' Johnson: Freedom High School's most famous grad plays Agent 23 in ''Get Smart'' (June 20), an adaptation of the Mel Brooks series from the 1960s. Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway star in the roles originated by Don Adams and Barbara Feldon.

Anthony Azizi: The Freedom High School grad joins Billy Bob Thornton, Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan in ''Eagle Eye'' (Aug. 8 ), a thriller about suburbanites stumbling upon a terrorist cell.

Ann Roth: With ''Doubt'' (Dec. 5), the Bangor resident works with Meryl Streep for the ninth time. The film, an adaptation of John Patrick Shanley's hit play about a charge of child molestation at a Catholic parochial school, co-stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams. Roth is also the costume designer for ''The Reader'' (Dec. 12), a post-World War 2 drama featuring Ralph Fiennes and Kate Winslet.

Christopher Lennertz: A graduate of Easton Area High School, the composer handles scoring duties on TV's ''Supernatural'' as well as ''Meet The Spartans,'' a sword-and-sandal spoof due in theaters on Jan. 25.

Gary Jones: A resident of Lower Saucon, Jones is working as costume designer on two 2008 romantic comedies: ''Definitely Maybe'' (Feb. 15) starring Ryan Reynolds and Isla Fisher, and ''All About Steve'' (Summer) with Sandra Bullock and Thomas Hayden Church.

CAMP HOPE A feature length horror film At the end of every summer, the children of a Christian community from a suburb of New Jersey attend Camp Hope. They travel deep into the woods far from any distractions the world provides. Here, the children are taught the ways of the Lord, the perils of the flesh, and the horror of the Devil. A charismatic priest leads them in their training. But, he unknowingly has brought something with him, something evil. What was supposed to be a safe place, a spiritual retreat has now turned into nightmare that not even faith can end.
