Okay, I wouldn't normally do this, but I'm curious.  A lady that I knew pretty well told me a while back they she thought I looked just like Andrew McCarthy.  Of course, that was about 5-10 years ago (I'm now 31).  I never gave it much thought, and didn't really know who Andy was at the time.  But then I saw part of "Weekend At Bernie's" on TV a few weeks ago and I was like, "Hmm, I wonder if that's Andrew McCarthy?? -- I kind've look like that guy."  (I'm sure you've all maybe had that moment where you kinda feel like you resemble someone.)  Well, sure enough, I searched IMDB.com and it was Andrew.  But again, I discarded the thought and didn't do any more research.


But then I just thought about it again tonight when I was looking up some unrelated movie stuff, and this time I tried to find some pictures of him.  I didn't really find much, but some of the ones I found, I thought I could see a bit of a resemblance there.  Maybe moreso when in my early-20s; but I don't have any of those pictures of myself handy. 


So I stumbled upon this site tonight and didn't realize he had any sort of a cult 'following!' LOL!  That's pretty cool!  Especially if I look anything remotely like him ;)  So I see this other post here about how Eminem maybe looks like Andrew, but I don't really see the resemblance there.  But it got me thinking... I'm wondering if anyone here thinks I remotely look like McCarthy?  Here's a picture that was taken of me a few years ago.  Granted, I was just messing around when this pic was taken, but let me know what you think as far as any sort or resemblance:. If I do look similar to him, maybe I'll try to get into film as his double.  HA! just kiddin' :o)


PS: I draw for fun. Hi Jeff, Thanks for showing us your photo. Yes I think you sortof look like Andrew. Do you know who actor Johhnathan Silverman is? He playes with Andrew in the Weekend at Bernie's Films. Well I think you sort of look like him. So I would say a comination of the two. What do you guys all think? It will be interesting to here your thoughts. Naughty from the AndlyLand page has a Look a Like area so she may want to steal your photo. haha

Hi Jeff. I really would like to compare you with Andrew, but Iīve somehow have problems with your link. I donīt get to see a picture. Just a white page with you logo (Image hosted by Angelfire) in the upper left corner. What a pitty ! Would love to see there are some more Andrews in the world.

Sorry about that.  Let me be the first to say that I hate Angelfire's free hosting service for that reason.  It's nice to be able to host a website, definitely; but I forgot that Angelfire somehow prevents forums from hot-linking to pictures housed there.  Very strange; I have no clue how they do it.


That'd be funny if I looked somewhat like a combo of the two :)


Hi Mary - Where is the "AndlyLand" page?   Do you have the URL handy, by any chance?  Thanks for your comments, by the way :)  If I ever come across more pics that I think would be better, I'll try to let you see.

PS:  To view the pic, you should also just be able to select all the text of the Angelfire URL I posted above, then hit CTRL+C to copy it... and then delete the address in your browser's address bar and hit CTRL + V to paste my URL there.  Then click "Go" (or hit Enter) and the picture should open up in your browser.

Well, thanks Jeff that would be fun to see more of your PICS. I will post the link to the AndyLand site here and it's also on my home page towards the bottom under Andrew's Official Website. AndyLand is a great website, and you really can't apprecaite it until you check out all the links they are so origional. And the current look a like on there is Kevin Costner. Why Jeff I believe you are up thre with the biggies. Can you act? Maybe there is a new career awaiting you.

Hey Mary -  Thank you for the encouragement :)  I would love to get into acting some day, but I've never really tried.  I think about it from time to time.  I was an extra used in the background for a made for TV movie a couple years ago if that counts?, hehe.


I'm still working on getting other pics for you; I'll need a bit more time.  While normal actors pretty much look good all the time, I can't justify being an actor by just one decent pose or one good photographic day ;o)

I think you look a little similar to Andrew. I donīt see the connection to Jonathan Silverman though. But you sure have a pretty cute smile, just like Andrew has.

Thanks Sandra    As far as Irish?  Hmm, you know I don't think anyone's ever told me that before!  The only Irish I think I have in me is from my grandma being Irish.  My mom's heritage is Swedish/Norwegian.  Other than that, I'm not sure what I am LOL  But in looking at myself in some of those pics, I can see what you're saying. 


'Now quit trying to steal me Lucky Charms!'


I should really try to find some pics from 10 years ago when that lady said I looked just like him.

Hey Jeff, I asked about the Irish thing becasue I think Adnrew is Irish but not totally sure. I grew up with this kid who kind of had the Andy look going onand he was straight Irish.


And he was a real Lucky Charmer too@ lol


Sorry to har about your Wedding. I thought maybe something was up because there are no photo's of the bride on your page.


So you say you are a big 80's freak. Do you know who Eric Stoltz is? I mostly remember him from Some Kind of Wonderful. I haven't really looked up his photos butDid anyone ever tell you you have his smile going on. I could be totally wrong. Just happen to think of it.


I don't know if I was an 80's nerd but have seen alot of the films. But there is still a bunch I haven't seen. If you can believe it had Andrew not been in Pretty in Pink I probably wouldn't have seen it either. Most of the 80's films I did watch were becasue I liked the costars that played in the Andrew films and then started whatching those guys.


Speaking of famous look a likes has anyone ever told any of you other members that you look like someone famous. Not me for sure. I have a relative that looks a lot like actor Dean Cane you thkow the guy from the Superman Series.

I finally managed to open the pics.


I would say you look a lot like Eric Stolz - check out "Memphis Belle" if you haven't seen it.


But not a lot like Andrew McCarthy - sorry.....although nice tux in the wedding shots.
