Andrew McCarthy will direct Tony-nominated playwright Neil Labute's latest play, second year senior, for the Cape Cod Theatre Project this summer. The season will also feature Tony nominee Nilo Cruz's The Color of Desire.

Running July 8-31, the season at CCTP will develop a total of four works, including Daria Polatin's Guidance and Mike Daisey's solo piece, The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs. All works are presented as staged readings.

Polatin's Guidance will launch the series from July 8-10. "A new high school guidance counselor gets caught up in the lives of his students. Not even his Advil addiction can save him in this comedy about love and life in a complex world."

Following will be Cruz's The Color of Desire, July 15-17. "As the revolution heats up, in Havana, a dashing American businessman hires a young Cuban actress for an unlikely role in this story of intrigue, seduction and the pursuit of freedom."

LaBute's second year senior, under McCarthy's direction, will run July 22-24. "Its a dark and stormy night when a brother and sister open old wounds and cause new ones as anger, betrayal, desire and years of regret boil to the surface. As the lightning flashes they peel back the many layers of truth surrounding their lives."

Jean-Michele Gregory will direct Daisey's The Agony and The Ecstasy of Steve Jobs, July 20-31. "Daisey puts the life of Apple Computers Steve Jobs in hilarious, poignant perspective. He weaves a tale of Hubris mixed with brilliance and hucksterism to reveal how Apple Computer has taken on a significant role in his life and in the world."

The Cape Cod Theatre Project is located in Falmouth, MA. Tickets (suggested donation of $20) may be purchased by calling the box office at (508) 457-4242 or online at CapeCodTheatreProject.
