Thank you for posting this! I can't believe I have to still wait nearly 2 months to see him in Washington, DC. Patience is a virtue...and I still plan on getting some signed books (and a picture or two).
Oops--sorry for not ID'ing myself. After seeing his talk, I have to admit I am super scared (excited, but scared, to see him in DC). I can totally see myself tripping on something and making a scene.
I loved your positive outlook. In reality, my biggest fear is that my 8 year old son (who tends to be unreserved and a little blunt) will go up to Mr. McCarthy and say, "My mom's favorite movie is Pretty in Pink." But heck, if it helps me get a good picture of him, I'll gladly be embarassed.
