Team Glittarazzi was "On the Road With Andrew McCarthy" (literally) when the actor and contributing editor for National Geographic Traveler magazine arrived at Union Station in Washington, D.C., yesterday afternoon.
You probably know Andrew from his acting in movies like Pretty in Pink, St. Elmos Fire, Weekend At Bernie's and Mannequin, but he is also a fab travel writer. In fact, he was named 2010 Travel Writer of the Year by the Society of American Travel Writers.
Thursday, he was in town for a live talk and reception at the National Geographic Society building with Trip Lit columnist Don George about his travel adventures.
The event totally rocked, and we're sorry to see him go.
Andrew, if you leave, we won't cry. We won't waste one single day. But, if you leave, don't look back. we'll be running the other way. ...
He did look awesome--especially when you could see his eyes. Mary, were you able to get a good look at his eyes when you saw him?
And I didn't even comment yet on how fit he looked...oh, here I go again! Thanks for reading!
