Well, seeing AM in New York at Comic Con was fantastic. I really just went to get autographs, so once I arrived, I made a beeline to his signing line. There were about 20 ppl already in front of me. I didn't look back to how many were behind me. The signing was supposed to start at noon, but he was late getting there because several streets were closed off due to the Columbus Day Parade. I think he arrived at 12:30. He gracefully gave me autographs and wanted to know which one was for the Netters (his name for us here). Those got special messages. I wanted my pic taken with him because I always looked like a goof. He was so cute because he had his arm around me and said "loosen up a little." The pic came out great.
We talked for a good 10 minutes when he said, "I'll see you in November." I was like, November? Then he told me about a travel talk he's giving to the Geographical Society. Sure enough, I looked it up and there he was. So, I asked 3 friends to join me for a girls night out.
Let me just say that the period of time between seeing AM and about yesterday was one of the lowest of my lives. I really wasn't going to go I was so depressed. But my friends convinced me I was being stupid, so I changed my mind and am excited. Details of Wed to follow.
