Sorry I have been so out of touch. Ugh, the end of 2013 proved I to be horrible time for us. Chris started the second year of his alternative school only to be bullied by a classmate 2 years older. Sadly, this classmate was in a social skills program over the summer where he terrorized Chris. I pulled Chris immediately from the program. Sadly, we had to keep him in the same alternative school because we had signed a contract last Feb. and paid nearly all the tuition.
Well, the school year started off terribly, so I was desperately trying to get Chris into a Catholic school (which I eventually did, and he is thriving). But the worst was yet to come. A week before he has his Catholic school interview, John got laid off from his job. 16,000 got laid off, and there more to come. The pharmaceutical industry has been hit hard. Since John has a Ph.D. in a specialized field, he is really having a rough time.
If anyone can offer some thoughts or prayers, I would appreciate it. I am so stressed, especially since we found a great school for Chris and will probably have to move (or at least be separated).

Thanks for the kind words Joanne! Ugh, we never saw this coming. However, things are on the upswing! My hubby found a job, son is thriving in school and my mom is feeling much better. But this global economy stinks!
