Stockard Channing, Aidan Quinn and Delroy Lindo open the London premiere of the American death row drama The Exonerated at London’s Riverside Studios Feb. 24.
Other star names confirmed for the 16-week run include Kristin Davis (“Sex and the City”); Danny Glover (“Lethal Weapon”) and Kate Mulgrew (“Star Trek Voyager”).
Written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, the verbatim piece is based on the authors’ 40 interviews with American prisoners who, after being condemned to death row for execution, were subsequently released when later found innocent.
The play was first performed in spring 2002 at Hollywood actor/director Tim Robbins’ Actors’ Gang Theatre in Los Angeles. Under Bob Balaban’s direction, the show built a starry list of cast members during the play’s 608 Off-Broadway performances.
The 90-minute drama won a Fringe First at last year’s Edinburgh Festival, where it received its U.K. premiere.
Stars drawn to the show, many of whom are expected to appear at Riverside, include Peter Boyle, Gabriel Byrne, Richard Dreyfuss, Mia Farrow, Peter Gallagher, Jeff Goldblum, Andrew McCarthy, Alanis Morisette, Rob Morrow, Bebe Neuwirth, Amanda Plummer, Lynn Redgrave, Kyra Sedgwick, Ally Sheedy, Brooke Shields, Kathleen Turner,Montel Williams and Debra Winger.

OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!!! Does happy dance screaming around the room!!!
I really hope he is in this.. Do you have to ring to find out when or if he will be doing it?? I'll be outside those stage doors day and night lol Oh i have everything crossed now just hoping.. and praying to be able to see him.. Its been nearly a 25 yr wait..
you wont need to be outsid those doors sweetie, i was there last weekend and you can wait inside! one door, andrew HAS to walk past you to go in...... and he is such a nice man to his fans, he will talk to you for ages if poss.
don't worry about ringing, you wont know in time if you do, but i'm keeping an eye on it and i'm sure he will be here soon.the next cast starts after sunday (dunno who they are yet!). one week at a time each cast, so he would only be there a week, making it hard to book tickets for him specifically!
