Alright girls!!Time to write to Hallmark Channel requesting a sequel to this film. I just wrote mine. I have written several times. I notice they are doing sequels to quite a few of their movies and surely this one cries oout for one. Remember accepting that little horse only meant they were engaged. Think of all the possibilities--what woould he think of her apartment, so different from his lovely log home. Her career is just beginning, how would they handle that. In fact what would they do with the horse on Park Avenue on Saturday night-would it be possible for Carla to meet someone out there and have a romance - even Maybe his former father-in-law who badly needs some love. it's such fun to play around with it. Pamela Wallace who wrote the book and the screenplay is an Award winning author

Just the other day I wrote to the Hallmark Channel and asked that a sequel be done, if at all possible! Very honestly, I feel if enough of us each write just one email, it definitely WILL make a difference, and the network will give it serious consideration.
Hey gals - I just had an email from someone at Hallmark telling me she agrees with me and loves the movie and has seen it 100 times. She said she is happily forwarding my letter to the production department for their consideration. So here's hoping - right? Just keep the mail going to them
I think a sequal to "Straight From The Heart" would be a great idea. I think it was Andrew's best performance. Is great to see that silent,rugged yet tender side of his acting. I'll e-mail Hallmark...no problem.
I just watched Straight From The Heart for the first time last night. Amazon was good enough to deliver it right on my birthday! What a wonderfull movie. I can't imagine that they wouldn't do a sequel. I mean how could they just end it with that sweet kiss they finally shared. As so many of you have said there are so many possibilities. I am going to write to Hallmark as soon as I'm done writing this. I just wanted to thank all of you who recomended this film to me. It is a definite keeper.

I was home alone one Saturday night and flipping through channels and found the movie Straight From the Heart on. I fell in love with this this movie and Andrew. I have been obsessed with him from that point on. I have been trying to find and tape (DVR) every movie I can find with him in it - there is a website listing of all the movies on cable he is in for the next month - updated every Sunday. My 7 year old daughter teases me about him and tells my husband that I only tape movies with Andrew McCarthy in them. We actually were able to find Pretty in Pink at Frys Electronics and bought it. She loves that movie. I can watch Straight from the Heart over and over again. We watch the dance scene every morning while I am fixing my daughter's hair. She said she had a dream about the song they play one night. I can't wait to see him in some new show - I think there is one coming out this fall with him in it!!!!!
I forgot to mention that I did email Hallmark suggesting a sequel to Straight from the Heart too. He is also good in the movie Anything but Love, but I wish he were in more scenes of the movie.
I'm on my way now to email Hallmark about a sequel. I just discovered the movie and this awesome site this weekend. Ahhhhhhh, other ladies who think Andrew is as dreamy, yummy, and hot as I! I admit been in love with him since the age of 12.
