I was wondering the same thing. I haven't read it yet, but I'm sure that it would make a good movie. I mean, how could a movie about looking for Andrew be a bad movie. Rach thanks for the info, and not spoilin it for me.

I have also read the book and it's very entertaining. I read somewehre that it said the movie rights were sold but I don't know if that is fact or fiction. But it would deffinately make a cute movie. Only if I can be in it. ha

I have been wanting to add this book to my "Andy" collection, but wished to know more about it.  I'm glad to hear it's a winner! I'm looking forward to getting it.  Also, I just ordered Class...never seen it.  I had to order it through eBay.  Just had a bad experience through Amazon...first time with two Andy movies...they didn't show.  I'm happy Amazon reimburshes the customer!  So far, I've done pretty good by eBay.  I think I'll stay away from Amazon for just a little while...I know they are a good company, but sellers like those tend to scare me off.  I love the young Andy films, but I am really enjoying his mature age films as well. Who has all or almost all of his films?  Any other items? If so...what do you have in your Andy treasure box? Curious to compare.  I'm hoping to get my hands on some "back in the day" teen magazines that have pics and info on him.

I am looking forward to getting my book. I ordered it on AMAZON, hopefully I won't have any problems. It's been a week since my husband ordered it. I guess I'm just being impatient! I have recently received four Andrew DVD'S from Amazon, but like you said DLee it only takes one seller like that to make you nervous. I am glad to hear that AMAZON reimburses you. I saw Andrew items on e-bay last week. Two T-shirts, and one pillow case. The one T-shirt said Andrew McCarthy- So good it must be a sin! The other T-shirt, and pillow case had a big picture of Drew on it, and it said Dream a little dream of me. They all sold soooooo fast I didn't have the chance to think. I hope it was one of you who had the chance to grab them! I have also in the past few weeks seen a keychain, with Drew's picture on one side. The other side said, Andrew McCarthy a hard habbit to break (but we already knew that). The next time that comes up I absolutely want it!  Oh yeah, there was one other T-shirt. It said- I wanted Andrew McCarthy, but all I got was this lousy T-shirt. I told my husband that I wanted to buy the T-shirt with his picture on it. He said he didn't know if he could handle me walking around with his picture plastered to the front of my shirt . I said fine I'll wear it to bed. His responce to that was " Oh great, so I get to see his face first thing when I wake up in the morning". I told him that that didn't sound so bad to me (haha), He just gave me that look! Do you know that look? Oh well, happy collecting everyone. Wish me luck on getting my book.

     Hi all:

I am so happy to report I have received my book  ! I have started to read it, I am on the 3rd. chapter. So far I really do like it. I was also able to order my "Andrew" keychain from e-bay  !

I like DLee's idea, let's all compare what's in our "Andy (Drew) Treasure box"? It could be fun!

I guess since  you already started reading Looking For Andrew I shouldn't tell you to much about it. I will say they do have many mishpas trying to find him. And do they ever get to meet him.? Well you will just have to wait and find out. I had so much fun reading this book.

I have just had a big garage sale. And of course burried way deep in my filing cabinet was part of my Andy collection. After I get in there and look thourgh it I tell you some of the nifty things I have. Hey guys my computer is really going down hill and I will be taking it in to the computer shop so if you don't here much from me you will know why. But, the good new,s it's hopeful they can fix it.

     Hi DLee:

I am recently adding to my "Drew treasure box". I had fallen out of touch with him for a few years . But the good news is now I am having soooo much fun playing catch up  ! I have Straight from the Heart- what a really great movie , Pretty in Pink- what a classic, Beyond Redemption, it's a very good movie, it's about a serial killer who kills people associated with the church, Drew plays a detective.  Anything but Love ( haven't seen it yet), Year of the Gun (haven't seen it yet), The Sight- LOVE IT! that's the movie that got me back on the "Andrew track" a few months ago. I also saw, and taped from T.V. Nowhere in sight. I thought it was a really good movie. the ending suprised me, that is all I will say. Have you seen Kingdom Hospital? I highly recomend it! If you haven't already listened to the Landry News, a book on tape that Andrew reads, I recomend it, it's available on Amazon. It's an elemetary school age book, but it was really great to listen to, I loved the way he does all the different voices, the man has a definite talent  ! I want to get Class. I also want to get A Father for Brittany- my little girl is adopted from China, the running man, Escape clause, Kansas. I have been reading about the New Waterford girl, I just wonder how much Andrew is in it. I have read conflicting summaries. Believe it or not I still have not seen Weekend at Bernies! I want to see all of his movies, these are the ones I am making a priority. Can you suggest any other "Drew movies" I should make a priority? I am still waiting for my key chain, I will let you know when I get it. Have fun adding to your "Andy treasure box". Smile back  .

Hi Teri,

I'm taking your lead...I'm going to get "The Sight" next.  It sounds great! I just have to get the book on tape that he narrarates as well (Landry News...where can I get it???). I haven't seen any of "Kingdom Hospital."  It sounds like a "must have!"  If you like soppy love stories...even if it's just to see Andy...I recommend "Anything but Love."  I also liked "Pretty In Pink", and "Mannequin."  I really liked "The Court Yard."  I saw a little of "Bernies' II"...gotta get it. I think "Bernies I" is hilarious! Did anybody get into "Losing You"...or "Dream Man"? Both roles were not his typical, and he did an outstanding job. I think it's very healthy for actors to step out of stereotypical characters. He looked good in both! It was great hearing from you Teri! I hope we will keep in touch! It's fun writing to you/hearing from you!

     Hi D."Lee":

I think you will like The Sight It's a good movie, and he's even funny in it. Now as for the Landry News. The man who wrote it is Andrew Clemmens. I saw it on Amazon. I searched under  Amazom.com, that gives the full inventory of whatever catagory your looking for. Just put Drew's name in and it should come up. I don't own a copy yet. I listened to a copy my library had. I had it two weeks and listened to it 2 1/2 times. I really did so enjoy Kingdom Hospital, Even the music is good to listen to, I would describe it as being haunting ( and I mean that in the best possible way). The Sci-Fi channel is running the seconf half of the series on Tuesday June 13th. It starts at 8:oo am, and runs till I think 3 pm. Like I said it's the second half, probably what they didn't run back in April, when they pulled it off midway through. I was able to rent the entire series at my local blockbuster, see if you can get it at yours. It's pretty expensive to buy even on Amazon or e-bay. A friend told me they saw it at Borders for $50, but I don't know if it's the whole thing.  I'm glad you are as big a fan of ABL, we are going away this weekend for a week, and I told my husband that I am watching it the night before we go. I'll also probably watch SFTH. I can't think of a better way to get my Andrew fix. I saw mannequin, he was so cute. I have never even heard of courtyard, can you tell me more about it, and Dream Man as well? I never heard of either of them. I was thinking of getting I'm losing you, so I'm glad to hear you liked it. I love the variety of roles Drew plays. He is so versitile, such an amazing talent. I'm convinced that he can portray any role. Did you see him in Law And Order SVU? He really played a villian in that one. His Twilight Zone episode is scheduled to be shown on June 17th on WPIX (AKA the WB) channel 11 by me, I'm in N.J. Three O'clock in the afternoon. Since I'm going to be way I have to tape it. By the way What do you know about the movie The New Waterford Girl? I enjoy writing to you/ and hearing from you as well, it would be nice to keep in touch. Talk to you soon.
