Whew! Last night I watched A Father For Brittany again. Haven't seen it for a while even though I have it. It was on the cable twice over the weekend. I am still trying to get it out of my head. I was such a wrung=out basket case when it was over. I really get into my films and this one in my opinion is one of Andrew's best performances. Those beautiful blue eyes were filled with tears in so much of the film and so were mine. Teri Polo is really very good in it also. But if you girls are considering buying or renting any of his films I would put this at the top of the list along with Escape Clause.  I bought both of them at Amazon. Of course everything is with the exception of Straight From The Heart which is where I found him on the original at Hallmark three years ago.

Hi Peggy:  I just received AFFB the other day. I haven't seen it yet, but I am looking forward to it. My husband and I have a little girl we addopted from China, so it should hit home. I also received Escape clause. I think it was from your recomendation that I decided to get it. I am looking forward to seeing that too. I just finally saw Weekend at Bernies. I thought it was so funny. I can't believe it took me so long to see it. The man is gorgeous, and funny. What a great combination. Oh yeah Class also just came in the mail the other day. Boy, do I have a lot of "good stuff" to look forward to seeing .

Teri, I am sure you will love that film. I wish I would have watched it when it was on TV the other day but I have been so busy I didn't have the time. Of course I have seen it many of times and is one of my recomendations.  I am sure if you have adopted a little Chinese girl you will love it even more. You must tell us what you thought of it.

Hi Mary:

My husband and I just bought a BIG new couch for our family room. We are currently redoing our family room to make room for it. Just as soon as we are done I plan to sit on my BIG comfy couch and enjoy AFFB. Looking forward to giving you my report .

Considering their (Drew and Teri) chemistry in SFTH, I'm anxious to see this movie as well.  Added it to my wish list!!!

Hi Mary:

I watched AFFB the other night. It was such a great movie. Just the look on Andrew's face when he first held his daughter, was so remminicent of the look that was on my husbands face, the first time he held our daughter. His acting as usual, was so believable in every scene. I absolutely loved the scene when Andrew was racing around the house with Brittany, cause ya know that he did that with his own son when he was a baby. I can just picture it. My husband and I where both laughing during that scene. I went through quite a few tissues, especially the scene where he was trying to give "Mr. Pig" to the social worker. you can really see what a terrific father he must be.

Yep. Andrew had a fatherly chemistry with britanny, you can see it in the movie. I think he really appreciates children. Look how he is with the kids in dear lola/beniker gang, and also in i'm losing you.

I love how he is in the scene in dear lola when he's trying to explain to jennie dundas (cassie) why kids want to be mean to each other. Also you can see this in the scene where he's talking to edgar about the fight he had at school.

he also makes me laugh when he's trying to pacify that kid who refers to him as "biscuit brain" in mannequin. I think he has a natural rapport with kids.

In one article, he talks about how he picks up (or picked up, now) his son everyday from nursery...... makes me smile, as when i was growing up, fathers never did that. mine sure never did either.
