Brooke Shields has confirmed that Lipstick Jungle has been dropped by NBC.

The actress told E! that the show will not be renewed for a third season.

It was rumoured last year that the series, starring Shields and Kim Raver, would be axed.

"I think a lot of people were really sad, but I think we hung on a really long time," she said. "It was three great years that we've been working on it."
