Going Under

Elizabeth Ashley, Hope Davis, Andrew McCarthy, Moby, Matthew Modine, Zachary Quinto, Julia Stiles, and Richard Thomas are among the stars joining Brian Dennehy, Carla Gugino, and Pablo Schreiber for the Broadway opening of Desire Under the Elms.

On Monday night, the controversial revival of Eugene O'Neill's Desire Under the Elms opened at the St. James Theatre, directed by Robert Falls (far left) and starring Pablo Schreiber, Carlo Gugino, and Brian Dennehy.

Television commentator Mo Rocca -- who will host the latest edition of Broadway Loves the '80s at Joe's Pub on May 10 -- came with one of the show's producers, Jamie deRoy.

The eclectic list of opening night guests included God of Carnage star Hope Davis with husband Jon Patrick Walker.

The great Elizabeth Ashley is currently thrilling audiences with her portrayal of Mattie Fae in Broadway's August: Osage County.

Film star Julia Stiles will return to the stage next month in the Center Theater Group's revival of David Mamet's Oleanna opposite Bill Pullman.

Emmy Award winner Richard Thomas will co-star in the La Jolla Playhouse's production of Terrence McNally's Unusual Acts of Devotion in June.

Heroes star Zachary Quinto will play Dr. Spock in the upcoming film version of Star Trek.

Andrew McCarthy will appear on the big screen in John Doyle's Main Street, the last film to be written by the late Horton Foote.

Law & Order: SVU star Stephanie March will appear in The Pink Campaign for Broadway benefit on May 4.
