John Hughes doc sets date The late, great Michigan-born film director John Hughes will be celebrated on Christmas Day in totally awesome super '80s style.
The network announced Monday it will premiere "Don't You Forget About Me," the documentary/search for Hughes made by a group of young filmmakers.
A ton of Hughes' favorite actors and other celebrities are featured in the flick, including Kevin Smith, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Andrew McCarthy, Alan Ruck, Kelly LeBrock, Justin Henry, Roger Ebert, Jason Reitman and Richard Roeper.
"Don't You Forget About Me" premieres at 6:40 p.m. Dec. 25 on Encore as part of its "Big '80s Weekend," which is hosted by "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" singer Cyndi Lauper.
