MANHATTAN  Several of New York's most famous misanthropes, including Robert De Niro, Jerry Seinfeld and John McEnroe, were on hand for the 2010 Vanity Fair Tribeca Film Festival party Tuesday night.

A-listers Martha Stewart, Anna Wintour and Brian Williams were also in attendance, along with actors Harvey Keitel, Andrew McCarthy and John Leguizamo.

Director Edward Burns was there with wife and supermodel, Christy Turlington Burns, as was New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.

Meanwhile, at the St. James Theater, fictional mobsters Steven Van Zandt, Chazz Palminteri and Edie Falco showed for the Broadway premiere of the Green Day rock musical"American Idiot."

Members of the iconic 90s punk rock band, including lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong, also attended the performance, which depicted "a new generation of young Americans as they struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world," according to the show's website.

They were joined by an eclectic array of celebrities that included talk show hosts Rosie O'Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg, real estate mogul Donald Trump, tennis star Serena Williams and "bromance" actor Paul Rudd.

At Chelsea Piers, Food Network stars Rachel Ray, Anthony Bourdain and Mario Batali got together for the 8th Annual Can-Do Awards Dinner to benefit Food Bank for New York City.

Thespian Stanley Tucci hosted the charity dinner, auction and concert which honored New Orleans chef and TV star Emeril Lagasse for his efforts to fight hunger in NYC. Bam, indeed.
