It was that amazing!!! I don't even know where to start. He was the absolute sweetest! I had my picture taken with him, spoke with him, shook his hand. Oh wow!
When he walked into the room, there was a gasp (myself included). He looked that amazing!
It was so cute because he blushes so easily and is not the least bit arrogant. His eyes just twinkle, and I think they are more beautiful in person than any picture I've seen.
I will write more, but I have to admit I am overwhelmed. Rach, I have your book...THANK YOU for making this possible!
Wow! Sandy glad to here you had such a wodnerful night. Can't wait to hear more. I will post more later. I have been under the weather so I am going to go back to my couch and rest.
I knew it was being recorded, so we couldn't take pictures or record. The talk, however, was so much fun!
I'm not sure where to start. Can you ladies help me out?
No wedding ring, but he explicitly talked about his *wife* and children. He looked so happy, so well grounded. So humble. It was truly an awesome night.
I was shocked that he spoke at least half the time about his career, how he got started in acting, his first roles. He talked about how he was kicked out of college, asked back after he hit it big in Class, how he was ill-equipped for stardom.
He talked a lot about the difference between being an actor and a director. He compared the actors today to his peers 25 years ago...how much more street savy they are today.
He talked about how he got into travel writing, how he gets his stories, most memorable places, etc.
I did talk to him for about 1 minute--told him that I grew up in a neighboring town and used to shop at a shoestore in his hometown which was, interestingly enough, was named Andrew's. He recalled the shoe store (out-of-business for several years--shopping malls and all that), and his eyes lit up when he recognized the store. The nice lady who was taking pictures for me snapped a picture at that moment. Oh, his eyes are just beautiful.
Rach, please let me know how I can get in touch with you to get his book to you.
Thanks a million Sandy that you ahve a book signed. I am going to email you to the address t posted the above. You must have a wonderful time at the event in D.C. I wish I were there. Thanks again,Sandy. You are a really nice lady.
How do you guys find these pictures? Obviously, they're awesome.
Darn, I'm hating the idea that we drove instead of taking Amtrak (we bailed on our tickets because of all the security threats). I can't imagine what would have happened if we were on the same train...besides me fainting!
