I've watched almost every movie, every show, every interview that Andrew McCarthy has been in. His skills as an actor are brilliant beyond belief. But the most important fact about Andrew McCarthy, is indeed, he is on my bucket list. The list that some individuals have of what they would like to do before they die. And the one thing I want to do is to meet him. I'm trying to be an actress, and he is an actor who should be more noticed for his talent. I don't have a lot of money. I am from Dorchester, a town in Boston that does not have a lot of acting opportunities. I go to school at the University of Massachusetts, Boston full time, but can't get the money for a good acting class. I'm not asking for money, I'm asking for pointers from, in my opinion, the best actor the screen has to offer. I don't want to sound pathetic, or lame, or rude. I'm just a 21 year old girl, who wants to act. I have talent. There's no doubt about it. But I want to expand it. I want this so bad.
His love for travel makes me appreciate life in a different view. I love to travel. My family is from Ireland; I am second generation Irish American, but I have never been to where my family is from, which is County Kerry and County Claire. I am petrified of flying, but if I could swim across the Atlantic, I would. Ive been to places in the U.S., but nothing like Andrews experience with travel. Alaska, Ireland, and Austria, would be my top places to go. Alaska because of natures beauty, Ireland because of my family, and Austria because of its unnoticed history with World War I.
My boyfriend and I just broke up. After him being in my life for 6 years, I dont know how to love anymore. I used to be fun and outgoing, but now I feel useless. I feel like if I travel more, I will begin to see who I really am and how the definition of love comes into play with life. I envy Andrews love for travel. And I hope one day he can share with me where to go and his counter points on traveling.
Anyways, who ever is reading this is probably thinking, "This girl is a nutcase" and you're probably right. But when you have something to share, but don't have the resources to do so, you're caught trapped to save your breath because it kills you that no one can notice you. Andrew is my idol. To be the best, to ask the questions needed, and to enjoy life by traveling and meeting new people.
Brittany, Wow! You really do love Andrew McCarthy. Good Luck on that Bucket List. I know how hard that business is to get into. My daughter is a Theater major mostly in lighting and design and she is out of work right now. I do hope yoyu susceed.

I have to agree that you picked well. Andrew is every bit as sweet and charming in real life as he is on TV--maybe even more so. I know he does a lot of events where he helps young, up-in-coming actors, writers and directors. If I recall, these events usually take place in Conn. or RI. I will check and post back.
