Well, thank you Rach for your initial post telling us that AM was on Twitter. And I am so happy he tweeted us back. I suspect, due to Alec Baldwin's request, Andrew is going to quickly pick-up followers.
I will happily remember his tweets. Natually, I'll still follow him in hopes of getting another chance to meet him or...better yet...helping one of you meet him. I see that happening in the near future. I really do.

Hi. Sandy, I am amazed that you tweet to Andrew quite often. He has 3k followers now, and I wonder how he manages all the followers. It seems to me he only answers the particular people. Is Tweeter a good thing or a bad thing? I guess I should only enjoy reading not replying. Never works!

I think it's a thing about catching him at the right time. He's tweeted/messaged me four times, so I think I've been more than lucky.
Seriously, though, my tweets last night will probably not get answered, but I send him to plant an idea in his head about where his fans live or what they're interested in.
My friend owns an independent bookstore, so I am most interested about a book tour next year. I think I'll just have to be patient.
Sandy, I guess you are a lucky person are you are our rep. of his fans! I hope Andrew does a book tour next year and we should ask him to do that. If he comes to Japan, he can take a bath(onsen) throughout Japan.
Sandy, thanks for keeping us up to date. I decided not to open a twitter account right now. I'm not sure how comfortable I am with having an account plus I am so busy with work that I honestly don't have the time.

I really tried to find out if he's doing a book tour. He tweeted back but didn't answer, so maybe it's delayed. He's got his hand in so many projects. I would never be able to pull something like that off.

Well, I think @andrewtmccarthy is about to go viral on Twitter. Looks like a lot of people shouted out (or whatever the lingo is) to him this weekend...and several with thousands and thousands of followers.
So, wanting to always advocate for this site, I thanked him from all of us at am.net.
I get the weird feeling that in some small way he knows who we are because we started following him (and I started bugging him) so soon after he got his account. But you ladies here helped me meet him, and that's something I am reminded about every time I look on my desk.

I like being in a small group. I don't know how many followers Andrew has now on Twitter and I started wondering how he manages all the follower. It must be out of control. Mary and you have already met and metioned him before that he has fans living overseas. I'm ganna cotact to the book publisher instead of buggin' Andrew for book tour. See ya.
I hope he knows who we are, or has looked at am.net....... I'm too "shy" to tweet him most of the time. Something I USED to think he would know all about!
Rach, I am a "shy" person , too. Even though English is not my first language but I have been trying to get him an attention. As today he has almost 6K followers,. If they tweet Andrew, he won't be able to tweet back to us. Even Jenny Colgan is his follower!
I do think you'll all get to meet him, especially after his book is released. He's as nice as people say he is...and more. I will keep my ears open and post when I see he's traveling somewhere.
