First, thank you to all my wonderful friends here...this site so puts a smile on my face. If I can ask one more small favor. Can you say a quick prayer that my son gets in to the special education school he's visiting? If the visit goes well, he will be offered a spot. This school usually doesn't take autism spectrum kids, but they are making an exception for dear son because he's sweet and gentle and bullied, sad to say. I am hoping my health will improve if he's in a better place and I don't have to worry so much about him. Thank you!!
Sandy, I hope that you know that you can always count on the .netters for support and prayers. I'm sure I speak for the rest of us who value your friendship and kindness.
Sandy, I said my prayer for you and your son. Please let us know the verdict. I will continue to keep the both of you in my prayers. You are such a nice addition to our grup we want to keep you arund for a long time.
Son has another 2 day school visit tomorrow at a different school, one that is not quite as good a fit but still high on our list. Will be very curious to get son's impression. I, of course, am a nervous wreck.
Thanks everyone! Your thoughts obviously helped...dear son came home from school so happy! He's excited to visit tomorrow too. I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel!
Great news! The school accepted Chris! It's a Quaker school for different learners, which incorporates the Quaker (or Society of Friends) values of cherishing diversity and acceptance of all kinds of people. THANK YOU for all the positive thoughts, prayers, etc.
Forgot to add, we still have another school visit in April. However, at least I know he'll be going to a more suitable school next year. Can't wait for this year to end.
