Hey Everyone! I had to tweet Free Press Books, the publisher of AM's "The Longest Way Home", to find out if he's doing book signings. Here's what they tweeted back:
@90domer Andrew will be doing book appearances in L.A., SF, and the NY tri-state area for THE LONGEST WAY HOME.
I am hoping to get more information and will post when I do. In the meantime, I am open for guests!!
Good idea! I've already RT what 90Domer tweeted the other day. Is it possible to ask the talk shows programs such as Ellen or Letterman for his apperance?
Good points...perhaps start with Free Press Books and then tweet him. I may just have to kidnap him, throw him in my suitcase (Weekend At Bernie's 2) style, and haul him to Europe and Asia. Someone out there willing to be my second in command?
I like the way you're thinking...if you resort to kidnapping please put him in the trunk of your car and drive down to FL...we can leave the US from here.
If not I may have to figure out how to make it to the Northeast!
I can make a side trip to FL, pick you up, do a UK tour, then off to Japan by way of Hawaii! Since AM likes Hawaii so much, we can be nice and let him out for a day or two there.
I'd love to go to Hawaii, let's put that on our definite hit list. I agree with Sandy, we'll have to let Andrew out of the suitcase by then so he can enjoy the scenery and fresh air.
Just think what kind of article Andrew could write if he was actually kidnapped and taken on an international road trip by his loyal fans...
Leave it to the .netters to figure out how to capitalize on a couple of book signings. looks like we have enough material for a magazine article, a book, and a movie! Good times for all!!
I agree with Sandy. In this case I think it would be better to just take action then ask permission later - sometime after we've gotten our fully stocked suitcase out of the US.
I know initially he'll be pretty mad, but I think he will realize our good intentions and the great press he's getting and will thank us. Only thing is, since he's technically the main character, do we give him a cut of the proceeds from the book and movie deals?
Well, I will offer up the suitcase if only because I think I am in closest proximity. Rumor has it he may be coming to the Mannequin neck of the woods, if you know what I mean. As soon as I know more, I will let you all know. That would make it so much easier for me! Chapter 1 of the sequel, WE FOUND ANDREW MCCARTHY!
