I am not sure everyone here knows this. Andrew calls us the Netters (slightly altered from his originally calling us the .netters). If anyone wants to hear the story, I will be sure to post.
Sandy tweeted to AM asking for a shoutout here. He replied somethong like "hi .netters!" and there it stuck with him and then we started using it too x least that's what I recall x

I think you're very close. I did ask for a shoutout to those here. When I tweeted it, I said something like, "Andrew, I hope you still love your fans on andrewmccarthy.net." And he replied back, "Of course, I love the .netters." The rest was history. The name stuck like glue!
