3 Ways Broadcast Networks Will Try to Survive Summer (Analysis)
Pretty in Pink's Andrew McCarthy has been tapped to guest star on the second season premiere of the summer drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
McCarthy will play Ari Sonnenland, a wealthy real estate developer whose 11-year-old daughter has been kidnapped. The wealthy businessman has the money to pay the ransom but is reluctant to accept help from the NPPD and turns to Carrie (Poppy Montgomery) and Al (Dylan Walsh) to help solve the case.

McCarthy becomes the latest addition to the drama, which also added The Walking Dead's Dallas Roberts as a series regular for its second season.
CBS revived Unforgettable in June for a truncated 13-episode order for the summer a month after canceling the steady performer. The network has been bulking up on original scripted fare following a lackluster summer of unscripted offerings last year, and on Monday launched scripted drama Under the Dome to more than 13 million viewers.
McCarthy's credits include White Collar, Lipstick Jungle, E-Ring and Royal Pains.
