I just love this movie. I have the DVD and the VHS and every time it comes on I watch it. I can't get enough of this movie. It should be a Classic. That ending is what I play over and over again. It's so romantic I can't stand it. I need more. I urge everyone that has seen this movie to email Hallmark, Larry Levinson, writers, producers, whomever to do a sequel. I just have to know whether Jordan made it out west with Tyler on the ranch. And the horses were simply gorgeous. Of course Andrew is gorgeous also.
Please write in for a sequel. I have done so already numerous times and they are probably sick of me. But, if a lot of people write in they may do it.
Let's start a sequel club for Straight From The Heart. How about it. Whose with me?
Teri-hate to use this forum which is for Andrew to write personal stuff but don't know how else to tell you that for two nights in a row my mail to you has been returned as undeliverable. I wrote you at both you home address and your workplace. I am sure I have been putting the correct addresses because of course we have been corresponding in the past. Don't know how else to reach you:
Hallmark showed it again tonight in prime time-Friday,Oct. 7. OF COURSE I watched it for the umpteenth time, long commercials and all, even though the DVD disc was right below it with no commercials. Watched especially for the dance,; for the gentle way he broke the horse and the almost tender way he looked at it when it walked up right beside him;. He looks soooo handsome in that scene. When he goes to the cemetary to say goodbye to Sarah and goes down oon his knees without seeming to move a muscle and gets up the same way when his father in law comes;when he goes through the photo album and touches that goregeous wedding dress and closes the chest with finality; appearing in shadow on the wall leading the horse and of course walking the horse into the gallery to her and the final kiss- oh so romantic. Never knew anyone who could talk with his eyes like he does.
I wrote to Hallmark again for the umpteenth time with my usual opening-"HI-it's me again". Have been writing them for three years.Often get a reply but nothing has happened so far.
Wow! There I go again - rambling on and on - bye for now Peggy
Yes Peggy, you may go on and on all you want to about SFTH. I have the DVD and the VHS tape and I still watch it every time it comes on TV. I can't get enough of this movie. I also emailed Hallmark again. I never got a response though. I hope this site will boost the response for a sequel. This movie should be a classic like "An Affair to Remember" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's". That final scene is just to die for. Sooooooo romantic and sweet. Of course with Andrew looking so handsome and gorgeous Jordan would have been out of her mind to say no. When he came through that door - Oh my Gosh - he looked so good. But then she never turned him down, even when they were in the barn and she opened the blanket for him she never turned him away. She'd be a fool to do so. She only left because he told her to go back to New York and she was hurt and was not thinking clearly. Then when Laurie told him she was gone he looked shocked that she actually left. This movie is should definitely be a classic I just don't think enough people have seen it since it is a Hallmark original. I missed it for three years after all and just happen to be up one night looking for viewing pleasure and caught it. I have been hooked on Andrew ever since and I don't think I'll be giving him up any time soon. He's just toooooooooo scrumptious for words. But that's my opinion.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!! THIS MOVIE! I REALLY WANT THE DVD. I TAPED IT BUT MY VCR IS GOING BAD. I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE, THE WILD HORSES WERE SOOO PRETTY. I LOVED WATCHING ANDREW AND TERI TOGETHER, WHETHER THEY WERE PRETENDING TO NOT LIKE EACH OTHER OR ACTUALLY SMILING TOGETHER. IT WAS TO SWEET. I EVEN FELT SORRY FOR HIM LOSING HIS FAMILY AND ALL. SOME PEOPLE THINK THE WAY HE DID HIS EYES IN SOME SHOTS WAS STUPID, BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS CUTE. THE ENDING WAS JUST TOO SWEET THAT IT SHOULDN'T END THERE.....I HAVE TO SEE A SEQUEL!!!
He is just sooo handsome. Email Hallmark for a sequel if you want to see one. The more people that email them the quicker they will have no choice but to reply. After all, we keep them in business as viewers and we want to see Andrew in a sequel. Supply and demand.
I am sure a sequal would be more in order, but as I said before I think they need to spend big bucks on the movie and remake it. Talk about the big screen!
Hey girls- how about we all send a photo from SFTH to Hallmark?. That is a given. Wouldn't that be a hoot???I bet they are not used to getting photos. And of course Andrew would pick up a lot of new female fans. That is a given. What do you think? They show it so often maybe it will help them understand wwhy is is so popular. What do you think?
Great Idea, wish I could figure out how to put a photo on a site.Help.I am computer Illiterate!!! Lashal and Janet, thank you both for th gorgeous photos, they made my night!!! I tried to watch It yesterday But half an hour In my two year old wanted her "Bear In The Big Blue House" dvd on and I had to give In although she will sit and watch "Heaven Must Wait"!!! Thank you so much for the photos.please keep posting them I can never get enough of Mr Wonderful!!
What would you think if we suggest to Hallmark a remake/sequel something like this......
It starts the same way that the first SFTH did with the beautiful horses running and all the wonderful scenery. It would show her flying to meet him and doing flash backs of the barn and her taking all those pictures of the wild horses...Him driving to pick her up with flash backs of the dance at the wedding and taking the horse to her at the gallery.
He picks her up at the airport with a great kiss....the ensuing scene's could be, a problem with her going back to NY for a show with more pictures....their wedding and end with them having a healthy child....
Wow! Lashel has written awhole manuscript. Sounds pretty good to me. But we first have to get someone to listen to us. I have been trying for THREE YEARS! Also have written to Larry Levinson, exec. producer who has an agency. No answer there either. He was on a couple of TV programs last week. He is also a writer and wrote the new movie Robin Williams opened in last week. Very smart and nice man. I have a letter written to him but don't know how to get it to him. He has an agency which when you read all those links (putting his name on the web) you find David Cass became an associate, also Pamela Wallace. But they don't answer mail grrrrr:Pamels Wallace adapted her own book to the screen for the movie.
Would you believe SFTH was shown again tonight (Tues. 10/24). We can't give up girls. I do think if they keep getting mail someone at Hallmark will get interested
Keep on trying Peggy, you know Andrew's worth It!!! Perhaps we could have a SFTH fan club.I watched It last night, what a great movie,Andrew makes a great rancher!!!(Must be the cowboy hat) Great sequel story Lashal. Take Care. Thanks for the great pictures, any more?
Lashal you do the same thing that I do. I sit back and think about what they could do for a sequel. Your ideas are great. We could all get together and come up with a very good story line for a sequel. I had some ideas that I thought were good but I hesitate to put them on the board. You all may think I'm too goofy if I put my ideas out there. You're brave Lashal. Maybe I'll share them when I get up enough nerve. Anyhow, keep sending those emails in to Hallmark for a sequel and Peggy, I'll email you an address for Larry Levinson.
I don't know if anyone has noticed but Larry Levinson and Harry Halmi, Jr. have had a lot of Christmas specials on Hallmark this season. I simply can't understand why Andrew is not in that mix with a Christmas SFTH sequel. Oh well, maybe if we keep up the pressure all year long he will have one ready by Christmas 2007. I intend to keep trying, how about you guys?
yes, a sequel!!! i've been watching this movie over and over, it's too bad Jordan didn't tell the other boyfriend off when he showed up at the ranch but then you wouldn't see him bring the horse into new york. i wished they had kissed in the barn.
I absolutely love this movie... i watch it over and over again! Andrew Mccarthy is so good looking doing this role. The unshaven look is very sexy on him. I would love it if a sequel to this movie is made. I would also love to buy an album with the photos that were taken in the movie as well. The photos are absolutely breathtaking. Where can I find/ buy those specific photo's used in the movie?? Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks alot for such great movies... keep them coming!!
I am also a huge fan of AM and am also a collector of his works. A while back I purchased Straight From the Heart in the Promo DVD Version. The DVD also contains press kit info and around ten pictures for the movie if I remember correctly.
I printed the pictures off my computer and put them in my album. Unfortunately with the cost of printer ink and paper (I use high quality HP glossy paper) it is expensive.
I can print any pics you want but I would have the charge around $8.00 for an 8X10 plus shipping.
Rough guess without actually looking I have around 4 pictures of Andrew by himself, 2 pictures of Teri Polo and 1 on Greg Evian by themselves. I have three of Andrew and Terry together (2 are of the scenes in the barn where he wraps the blanket around Jordan and the other one is when Andrew is holding the camera just after he took a picture of Jordan.
If you are interested, please reply to this email Irene
Andrew is very passionate in the roles he plays which makes them comes alive. We have had many remakes and sequels to so many films we grew up with, and well why not.
I have never desired to seek out a icon because,,,,,, but he deserves the appreciation. Break a Leg with your career A.M.
